Skin Regimen launched globally on March 2018. It is a new brand of luxury skincare brought to us by Comfort Zone–a skincare company based in Italy that focuses on sustainability and modern plant chemistry, in product development. The company is a certified B Corporation, which means they have met rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. By entering a collective of conscious businesses, they are a source of positive impact on people, as well as the planet. I am happy to know this line, is now available at Glen Ivy Hot Springs.
I participated in a seminar led by the founders to learn more about the exciting new products. Neuroscientist, Dr. Claudia Aguirre, is a mind-body expert, as well as, a brilliant storyteller. I first tried Skin Regimen during a facial treatment at Glen Ivy Hot Springs. A knowledgeable esthetician applied a Lactic Acid Peel along with the entire line of new products. The peel removed a layer of dead cells from my skin's surface without causing dryness or flaking. The treatment was gentle on my skin, yet so effective leaving my skin noticeably supple, refreshed, and glowing.
After my beauty session, I picked up a few products to take home and incorporate into my daily routine. One product I fell in love with is the Microalgae Essence ($75). It is an energizing, illuminating lotion that is translucent in color with a light weight syrum consistency. The formula is composed of 94.8% natural-origin ingredients and is free from: silicones, parabens, mineral oils, artificial colors, animal derivative and synthetic fragrance.
I place two pumps of Microalgae Essence onto my fingertips, rub my hands together, and inhale a breath of its aromatherapy properties before patting it onto my clean skin. I truly love the woodsy scent and always look forward to this step in my beauty routine! The lotion is nourishing, hydrating and sets the base for my makeup. Skincare is important to me because I'm basically a glow getter and let’s face it... glowing skin is always in.
