Pechanga: Upping the Ante with Spectacular Additions

Pechanga Resort & Casino’s much anticipated expansion is coming to fruition as a soft opening takes place just in time for the holidays. There is so much to taste, see and experience, adding new horizons to the city of Temecula, California.
If you haven’t already heard of the casino’s $285 million expansion, it’s probable you have been hiding under a rock. And that is okay, no one is judging. It is time to get in the know as it’s one among the top casinos in the nation (voted #1 by USA Today readers in 2015) and who knows... their 20 restaurants and bars, including AAA 4-Diamond Award winning steakhouse, might even entice you to a foodie-cation.
I cannot wait for winter to be over as the pool resort is scheduled to open in spring. We can expect an infinity edge pool with a swim-up bar and The Cove–an additional bar and grill! For kids, a beach entry pool, two water slides, splash pad and cabanas throughout the complex.
You can now begin to book reservations at the new resort tower featuring 568 luxury rooms and suites, for a grand total of 1,085 rooms. The ultra modern tower is made up of two buildings connecting in a T-shape, which in all, connects to a stunning atrium.
The atrium features a new eatery with an appetizing menu. The Lobby Bar is now open and conveniently located within steps of the cutting edge showroom, The Pechanga Summit.
As if this news isn’t already a mouthful, this week, The Buffet will begin to serve Maine Lobster on Thursdays!
I will be tuned to this casino as it will bring more exciting news about my community. But really, could the ante be raised any higher on entertainment?
Lobster & Seafood Buffet
The Buffet at Pechanga begins the year with a big splash! On January 11, 2018, it will offer all-you-can-eat Maine Lobster for $44.99, every Thursday, between the hours of 4 pm to close 10 pm.
Discounts are applicable to club members while kids two years or younger eat free.
A blazing bake bag will contain a one-and-one-quarter whole lobster complete with roasted potatoes, corn on the cob, and all the fixings. If your appetite calls for more, grab yourself another plate and dive into a plethora of seafood goodness.
In addition to the exquisite international dining stations, treat your taste buds to fresh and baked oysters, whole-salmon carving station, enhanced sushi station, snow crab, fish tacos, ceviche, calamari, Dungeness crab, clam chowder, steamed shrimp and more to come. The Tastebuds can only dream of having a day-cation at this buffet alone.
The open and inviting bistro serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It offers American fare with a farm-to-table approach and Mexican and Asian inspirations. Ingredients are carefully selected from regional farms, while all-things local are formulated into the mix to bring maximum freshness and quality. The Lobby Bar has six craft beers on tap to choose from, as well as, hand crafted cocktails.
The all-star chef of the Lobby Bar is Jose Mendoza. With so many changes and additions taking place in this casino, up to 350 new food and beverage employees will, reportedly, be hired as a result of this expansion. Let the food extravaganza begin!
On another level and note, Pechanga held an exclusive concert, January 2, 2018, in their brand new state-of-art events center. The only way for the public to have attend this function was by invitation only through a Pechanga employee, as their guest. I was lucky and privileged to have partaken in this fun-filled event.
On this night, Wild Child, a super cool tribute band for The Doors, broke-in the new stage with rocking tunes. People of all ages attended the two hours long concert. During this time, the concession booth inside the pre-function area was open and offering conventional snacks like popcorn, pizza, hot dogs, and soda.
An inviting pre-function event area with lounge space surrounds the outer perimeter of the venue.
The venue seats up to 3,000 with motorized stadium-like seating, as well as, rows of nice, comfy chairs arranged nearest the stage. The entire space takes up 40,000 square feet and can be divided into five sections, according to event size.
And don’t forget to check out the luxury spa. I could really go for a foot massage after walking through this grand casino. The official grand opening of the expansion is said to take place spring 2018.
